Gardaí recapture escaped detainee in Dublin

Gardaí in Dublin have recaptured a man who escaped from Fitzgibbon Garda Station in the north of the city this morning.

The man was being detained in the station when he escaped with an air rifle and a bullet-proof vest.

He was recaptured in the nearby Sean McDermott Street about 15 minutes later.

The air rifle and vest were also recovered.
