SDLP tells Conroy initiatives must be brought in

A delegation from the SDLP in the North has met the Garda Commissioner Noel Conroy in Dublin today.

All-Ireland policing and exchange programmes involving the Gardaí and PSNI were discussed at length.

The movement and activity of criminal gangs on both sides of the border was also discussed.

Alex Attwood, who led the SDLP delegation, said after the meeting that a number of cross-border initiatives need to be implemented quickly to halt crime.
