A light aircraft travelling from Prestwick in Scotland to Kerry has had to make an emergency landing in Co Down.

It's reported the pilot was given clearance to land at Gormanstown in Co Meath but landed in a field near Ballyedmond Castle at Rostrevor in Co Down when the weather closed in.
