€7m funding by Cullen for waste

The Minister for the Environment, Martin Cullen, has announced that €7m will be provided to local authorities around the country to support the first half of a major five-year programme in relation to waste activities.

The funding will be used for a number of different purposes including the inspection of waste facilities and establishing mobile patrols.
