Health Board plans special meeting to discuss Bonner Report
The North Eastern Health Board is planning to hold a special meeting on Thursday to discuss the Bonner Report with its author, a former civil servant.
The report was commissioned after baby Bronagh died when her mother gave birth en route to Cavan General Hospital after being turned away from Monaghan hospital, which has no maternity services.
It recommends a €3.8m midwifery-led maternity unit at the hospital.
