A woman has been killed in a road accident in Co Longford.

A woman has been killed in a road accident in Co Longford.

The fatal accident happened at around 1pm on the N4 between Rathowen and Edgeworthstown.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to come forward. The woman has not yet been named.
