Teenager hurt in bonfire explosion

A teenage boy was burned at a bonfire in Co Derry last night, when a petrol canister exploded.

The youth was taken to hospital for treatment after the blast at New Buildings in Co Derry at around 11pm.

A six-year-old girl was also taken to hospital where she is said to be suffering from shock.

The explosion caused windows in nearby houses to smash.
