John Ryan was gunned down outside a house in Thomondgate last night. His brother, Eddie Ryan, was shot dead in a Limerick pub three years ago.

Meanwhile, gardaí in Dublin, are continuing investigations into an early morning shooting in Tallaght.

A 35-year-old was shot three times when he answered the door at a house at Balrothery Estate in Tallaght.
