Beaumont parking costs examined
The Public Accounts Committee will examine why the State is paying almost €13m for private sector parking at Beaumont Hospital in Dublin when it meets today.
The committee will also re-examine the issue of "ghost" medical card payments to doctors for patients who are either dead or have moved on.
The payments have allegedly enabled doctors to claim €6m from the State on behalf of 50,000 people who have either died, moved into care or left the health board area where the doctors in question were based.
