Gardaí launch road safety blitz

Gardaí are to launch a major road safety crackdown again this Easter.

Operation Taisteal will run from midnight tomorrow until the same time on Bank Holiday Monday.

Gardaí will be targeting speeding, drink-driving and the non-wearing of seatbelts.

Last year, five people were killed and more than 130 injured on the country's roads during the Easter period.
