North parties receive copy of IRA statement

The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, has revealed that the Irish and British governments have presented the IRA's latest statement to the North's political parties.

Speaking in Dublin this morning, Mr Ahern said the focus was now on ensuring that all the Northern parties fully understood the position of the IRA.
