The National Disease Surveillance Centre is still keeping a close eye on the possibility that the SARS virus could spread to Ireland as the number of cases in Britain rise to five.

The mystery illness has now claimed about 100 lives across the world and is believed to be spread by travellers returning home parts of Asia.
