Ulster Unionist Party leader David Trimble's wife is seeking information on why her application for membership of a local district policing partnership board was rejected.

Daphne Trimble, who manages her husband's constituency office in Portadown, Co Armagh, had applied for a place on the Lisburn board, but her application was unsuccessful.

She said she doesn't believe she was discriminated against, but wants to know the reason why she was not appointed.
