Three arrested in connection with 'serious crime' in Limerick

Gardai have arrested three men and a woman in connection with what officers described as "serious crime in the Limerick area over the last number of months".

Gardai have arrested three men and a woman in connection with what officers described as "serious crime in the Limerick area over the last number of months".

The arrests in the Thurles area of Co Tipperary are believed to be related to the gangland execution of drug dealer Kieran Keane on January 29 in the village of Drombana, just outside Limerick.

The detainees are being held in garda stations throughout Limerick city.
