Call for removal of insurance market barriers

The vice-chairman of the Oireachtas Committee on Enterprise and Small Business has called for the removal of barriers to entry into the Irish insurance market.

Fianna Fail TD Conor Lenihan said increased competition in the insurance sector is necessary to allow consumers to shop around.
