Police arrest six after savage beating

Six men were arrested today after a man was savagely beaten in north Belfast.

Six men were arrested today after a man was savagely beaten in north Belfast.

Police said the victim was attacked at Hopefield Street in the Skegoneill area of the city at around 6.20am.

He suffered head injuries and was taken to hospital where he was detained for further checks.

It is understood that the wounds are not life threatening.
