Cowen confident of breakthrough in peace process

Foreign Affairs Minister Brian Cowen has expressed confidence that efforts to rescue the Irish peace process will succeed, despite the growing scepticism of unionists.

Yesterday, all of the North's unionist and loyalist parties boycotted round-table talks chaired by Mr Cowen and Northern Secretary Paul Murphy.
