Gardai search for van after hit-and-run

Gardai are now hunting the driver of a van involved in a hit-and-run last night in Co Meath.

One man died and another is in hospital after they were hit by the vehicle, on the Navan Slane road at Donaghmore shortly after 10pm last night.

Gardai have now released details of the van involved in the incident in a bid to trace the driver.

It is described as a metallic blue van with a roofrack.

In addition, following the accident, there is now damage to the left front headlight and the left wing mirror is missing.

A 34-year-old man from Navan, died in hospital this morning and an 18-year-old man is still being treated in hospital after the incident.
