Three youths released after joyriding incident

Three males arrested after two Garda patrol cars were crashed into in the south of Dublin city early this morning have now been released from Garda custody.

Two of the youths will appear before court in February.

There, it is expected they will face charges relating to the incident.

A Garda and a fourth youth received minor injuries when the stolen vehicle crashed into the patrol cars on Donore Avenue, at 4.15am.

Both the Garda and the youth have now been discharged from hospital.

Gardai are expected to question the fourth youth in the near future.
