Gardai arrest second youth at Mater Hospital

Gardai have arrested a second youth following a traffic accident that killed a taxi driver in Dublin yesterday morning.

They arrested the 16-year-old youth in the Mater Hospital within the last half hour.

Earlier, they had arrested another 16-year-old male at the hospital.

Robert McGowan was killed when his taxi was struck by a stolen vehicle in Summerhill. The stolen car smashed into the taxi sending it into the air.

The three teenage occupants of the stolen vehicle were taken to hospital suffering with extensive injuries. One of them remains in a critical condition.
