Gardai uncover illegal alcohol factory

Gardai have discovered an illegal bottling plant in Co Louth.

A large haul of Vodka was recovered at the scene.

The discovery was made as part of a larger investigation into serious crime in the county.

Recently, gardai found thousands of bottles and labels during a search of premises near Grangebellew.

In this afternoon's follow-up operation they searched a premises in Ardee and discovered vats of drink, ready-boxed bottles and a quantity of bottle seals.

Customs officials have been informed.
