FF backbenchers delaying dual mandate decision: Fine Gael

Fine Gael spokesperson on the Environment, Bernard Allen, has said that any announcement on the end of the dual mandate system must be introduced in the context of wider local government reform.

He was speaking after newspaper reports this morning suggested that the dual mandate system is about to be scrapped by the Government.
