A group of more than 50 pensioners temporarily commandeered a bus in Drogheda, Co Louth, today in protest at cuts in the town's bus service.

The pensioners boarded the vehicle in the centre of Drogheda, covered it in posters and refused to disembark until the driver took them to the local depot.
