Martin to ban smoking in pubs, restaurants

It is reported that the Minister for Health, Micheál Martin, is on the verge of banning smoking in pubs and restaurants when and where food is being served.

Minister Martin is also reported to be indicating that smoking at bar counters will be prohibited and that publicans will also have to provide smoke-free zones on their premises.
