Pedestrian killed in Clare road accident

A 42-year-old pedestrian has died after being hit by a car near Ennis in Co Clare last night.

The accident happened at Roslevan at around 10.30pm.

The victim was pronounced dead on arrival at Ennis General Hospital.

Meanwhile, a 17-year-old boy has died in hospital from injuries received in a road accident in Dublin on Sunday.

The youth, who was a pillion passenger on a motorcycle, died at around 5pm yesterday evening following the accident in Tallaght on Sunday morning.

The driver of the motorcycle is still in hospital.
