Gardaí investigate Waterford assault

Gardaí in Co. Waterford are investigating an assault on a man in his 20s, who was attacked in the city in the early hours of this morning.

The victim was beaten about the face and chest on John Street just before 2am this morning.

Two men were arrested, one has since been released and the second remains in custody.
