A group representing the victims of crime has said hundreds of people are angry with the gardai because of a perceived reluctance to reveal information about their cases.

A recent survey on public attitudes to the gardai found that half of all crime victims felt they were not kept informed about the progress of their cases, while some were never contacted by the gardai at all.
