The Minister for Education is accusing the union of students of Ireland of not living in the real world when it comes to the issue of the re-introduction of third level fees.

Noel Dempsey said a final decision on the controversial plan will be made by the cabinet before Christmas.

He was speaking as he joined President Mary McAleese on an official visit to Thailand.
