Irish course needs to be revised, say parents body

The Catholic Secondary Parents Association has reported Irish people have the worst records in Europe for speaking continental languages because of the pressure to learn Irish first.

The Catholic Secondary Parents Association say the group recognise that having Irish as a compulsory subject was felt necessary to keep the language alive, but the strategy is not working.
