Delays will put prices up, says builders' group
The Irish Home-Builders Association has warned that delays in the construction of new houses and apartments could result in higher prices.
The Association blamed "unworkable legislation" and the lengthy planning process for the delays.
IHBA director Ciaran Ryan said: "The combination of these factors could result in a shortage of supply and put upward pressure on new house prices."
He added that the association is hoping to meet Environment Minister Martin Cullen to discuss the matter.
