Exam results to be released online

Students will be able to access their leaving cert results online next week.

The move follows the successful use of the service last year.

The site www.examinations.ie will operate from noon this Wednesday.

This year the Department of Education and Science will be extending the online service so that students can appeal on line as well.

Last year, almost 14, 000 students accessed their much-anticipated results on the internet.

The service is especially useful for students who go travelling after their final year in Secondary school.
