Cork man recovering after shooting

A man in his 20’s is recovering in Cork University Hospital this morning following a shooting in the city overnight.

The man from the North-side of the city was standing in a Chinese take-away in Blackpool at around midnight when a car pulled up outside.

A passenger got out of the car and shot him twice before being driven off. The car was later found burned out in the North-side of the city.
