Interface violence greatest threat to peace - SF
Sinn Fein’s Gerry Kelly has said that interface violence is the greatest threat to the Irish peace process and not what unionists have described as a "moral dilemma" in sharing power with republicans.
"There are houses being attacked in interface areas throughout Belfast," Mr Kelly said. "If the Good Friday Agreement is to mean anything then it has to mean something to those who are suffering."
His comments came ahead of a meeting today chaired by the British government’s Northern Ireland Office and aimed at combating sectarian violence.
Mr Kelly said it is important that all parties adopt a single voice in the fight against sectarianism. He also criticised the Democratic Unionist Party for refusing to attend the meeting.
