Northern police probe forged insurance certificate scam

Police in the North have launched an investigation into the manufacture, supply and use of fraudulent vehicle insurance certificates.

The forged certificates, purporting to be from a range of legitimate insurance firms, are understood to have come to light after a motorist made a claim and discovered that he or she was not insured.
