Rape Crisis Centre welcomes marital rape verdict
The Rape Crisis Centre has welcomed the conviction of a Sligo man for the rape of his wife, the first such conviction in the history of the Irish State.
The 46-year-old builder was found guilty of marital rape at the couple’s home in Sligo in July 1997.
