Police chairman condemns attacks on officers
The Chairman of the North's Policing Board is condemning an attack on two police officers in Downpatrick.
Professor Desmond Rea, called it a callous and calculated attack, aimed at killing a patrol who were serving the community.
Dissident Republicans are being blamed for the attempted murder of the two men, whose patrol car was hit by a device.
Although they escaped serious injury, they are reportedly badly shaken from the attack.
