Possible cocaine epidemic in Ireland

There are mounting fears that Ireland is set to become the latest country to suffer a crack cocaine epidemic similar to the one that has swept the streets of the United States and Britain.

According to Gardai Irish drug using trends normally follow those of UK drug users and drug councillors confirm that they have identified an increase in the use of both cocaine and crack, which is a cheaper but more potent variant of cocaine.
