Garvaghy residents lash Trimble
Garvaghy road residents are attacking comments made by David Trimble today.
The residents association are angry at way that the Ulster Unionist leader wants the parades commission scrapped for another body.
The issue centres around the annual orange parades which are due to enter high season in under a month.
David Trimble maintains that a new commission would centre on the right of all people to assemble and march during the parades.
He says that the change would be in the interest of nationalists and unionists. Nonetheless, the Garvaghy group insist that Mr Trimble is acting as an advocate for organisations such as the Orange Order.
The residents group want Trimble to stick to his oath and act in the interests of all citizens.
