Adams says SF want to bring about equality

Sinn Fein leader Gerry Adams says the focus of his party in the next Dail will be to bring about equality for everybody.

The Party’s newly elected TD’s have signed in to Leinster House following their first Parliamentary meeting.

Mr Adams, who was at the meeting, says their first job will be to create an effective opposition.

“The focus on who will form the Government is understandable, but it should also be on who will form the opposition.

"Will it be a constructive opposition, will it be ideologically based in terms of party principle and policies on the need for equality and we believe the vision that we have is shared by others.”
