Seanad beckons for O'Rourke
The out-going deputy leader of Fianna Fail, Mary O'Rourke, has been nominated to the Seanad.
Mrs O'Rourke dramatically lost her seat in Westmeath to party colleague Donie Cassidy at the weekend.
She and the General Secretary of Fianna Fail Martin Mackin have been nominated by Bertie Ahern to the Seanad this evening.
