Young woman killed in stabbing incident

A murder investigation is underway in Cork today following the discovery of the body of a woman in her early twenties. She had been stabbed.

A murder investigation is underway in Cork today following the discovery of the body of a woman in her early twenties. She had been stabbed.

The woman’s body was found at 11pm on Rochestown road in the city.

Gardai in the area are questioning a man in relation to the incident.

The scene has been sealed off and is being examined. It will be preserved for State pathologist Dr John Harbison who is expected at the scene later today.
