Republican dinner in Dublin condemned

Sinn Fein has said that tonight’s commemorative Dinner, Tirgra, is the "first and only one tribute of its kind".

However, Ulster Unionist MP Jeffrey Donladson has said the dinner is an insult to the victims of the IRA.

About 2,000 republicans are expected to turn up in Dublin this evening for the event.

Some have reported that the commerorative evening will mark the end of the Provisional’s military activities in the North.
