Ennis hit-and-run leaves two hospitalised

Two men have been hospitalised after a hit-and-run accident this morning.

Both men were injured at around 3am in the early hours.

The hit-and-run incident occurred in Ennis when two men were hit by what was described as either a Volkswagen polo or a Volkswagen golf.

The driver of the car involved failed to stop.

The two injured men have been taken to Ennis general hospital where their condition is described as serious.
