Labour hits out at PDs Euro 2008 row
The future of Ireland's joint bid for the 2008 European football championships is still hanging in the balance.
Tomorrow is the deadline for confirming the bid with Scotland to FIFA but the Government has so far failed to make its views known.
It follows an apparent attempt by the Progressive Democrats to prevent the building of Stadium Ireland and their refusal to sign a letter confirming the bid.
Labour leader Ruairi Quinn says the conflict between the two Government partners could ruin Ireland's bid for the games.
"They have always known they had a deadline and I can't understand why they haven't nominated the required stadia," he said.
