Stranded sheep will be sent back

More than 250 sheep stranded at a French port because of discrepancies in a ship’s paperwork are expected to be sent back to Ireland.

Authorities at Le Treport also refused to allow them into the country because of foot-and-mouth disease fears, according to an animal welfare organisation opposed to live exports.
