Mikhail Gorbachev, the last President of the former USSR, will arrive in Ireland later today to accept the freedom of Dublin city.

Mikhail Gorbachev, the last President of the former USSR, will arrive in Ireland later today to accept the freedom of Dublin city.

The 1990 Nobel peace prize winner will use his visit to meet members of the Russian community in Ireland. A meeting is also planned with President Mary McAleese.
