Post mortem to be carried out on Tipperary woman

A post mortem is due to be carried out this morning on the body of a woman in her forties.

The body was found in Tipperary Town yesterday evening.

The woman, who is understood to be a local, was found dead by children playing in a car park behind a supermarket on the town’s Fr Mathew Street.

It is believed she had sustained head injuries and gardai are treating the death as suspicious
