Gardai infiltrate machinery-theft gang

Gardai are believed to have destroyed a suspected machinery stealing ring that extended from Co Mayo to the Northern Ireland border.

Detectives have arrested two men in connection with the theft of a tractor unit near Knock in September, which was valued at over £40,000.
