Gardai warn of money-laundering ahead of euro changeover

Gardai have asked shops and businesses to report any suspicious trading in the coming days as criminals are expected to use the last-minute shopping rush to launder cash ahead of the euro changeover.

Gardai believe criminals have tens of millions of pounds in cash stashed away and could use Christmas in an attempt to hide their money-laundering activities.
