Man dies following road traffic accident in Kildare

One man has died following a road traffic accident on the N7 at Kill, Co Kildare this morning.

The accident, involving a lorry and a car, happened at 4am on the southbound route at Blackchurch.

Three units from the fire brigade from Naas and Newbridge have been working with ambulance crews in the rescue operation.

A single lane is open and gardai are at the scene directing traffic.
